Samsung Galaxy S5 : Exclusive Review with detailed features

Samsung officially unveiled their new flagship phone is last week’s Mobile World Congress which was held in Barcelona, Spain. Every gadget and smartphone lover in the world was enthusiastic about this new phone. Without losing time I am directly jumping to the review portion of this post, because no one wants to wait for a review of most awaited phone like Samsung Galaxy S5.

Processor and RAM:

Samsung has packed it with latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at blistering 2.5 GHz. Everyone was expecting that Galaxy S5 will come with 64 bit architecture based processor, but it did not become reality. Apple’s iPhone 5S is having this type of 64 bit processors which are said to be future of mobile phone processors. Another drawback of Galaxy S5 is only 2 GB RAM. I am personally using a 2 GB RAM phone and it is more than enough, but for a flagship like Galaxy S5 we always expect mammoth specifications (Samsung’s own Galaxy Note 3 is having 3 GB of RAM). Especially when Samsung’s own TouchWiz Android OS preloads RAM with their own customized apps, which consumes lot of RAM space and gives us least amount of RAM space to use. 

Battery Life:

Samsung Galaxy S5 packs a 2800 mAh battery that company claims can run up to 10-11 hours for heavy usage like LTE or video playback.  They also included one new battery optimizer feature called Ultra Power Saving mode which can offer 24 hours of standby time when the battery is about just 10%. Another cool feature is you can use your phone in black and white colors, thus it will not consume battery for color reproduction works and give you more usage time. 

Storage:

You will get two variants of 16 GB or 32 GB on board storage capacity models of Samsung Galaxy S5. It can be expanded up to 128 GB using micro SD card. Apart from that you will also get free cloud storage provided by Samsung.

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy S5 packs with a superior 16 MP rear camera which is having variety of new features.

•         This camera is capable to shoot 4K video recording
•          It can autofocus in up to 0.3 seconds
•          Real time HDR
•          ‘Live’ image preview
•          Selective focus for capturing near, far and pan images

 So these new functionalities will surely put Samsung Galaxy S5 camera in competition  with iPhone 5S, Xperia Z2 cameras.

Fingerprint Scanner:

Same like iPhone 5S, Galaxy S5 having finger print scanner on home button. Unlike, iPhone 5S, you have to swipe down your finger to unlock your phone. Apart from that Samsung have included PayPal payment functionality, which can be done by using fingerprint scanner. So, this will surely improve Samsung Galaxy S5’s security issues.

Water Resistance:

Copying Sony Xperia phones, Samsung have made Galaxy S5 water and dust resistant. Read twice my last sentence, the phone is water resistant. So, you cannot use phone directly into water. So, this is limitation of this phone which is not there in Sony Xperia Z, Z1, Z2.

S-Health Heart Rate Monitor:

One of the stand out element of Samsung Galaxy S5 is its heart rate monitor. Samsung concentrated heavily on health related features for this phone and they included this innovative feature. The sensor is located on camera and you can measure heart rate by putting finger on that. Samsung’s own wearable range Galaxy Gear 2, Galaxy Gear 2 Neo will be capable to integrate with all these health related apps. 

Final Verdict:

Samsung Galaxy S5 is undoubtedly packed with all optimum specifications and it will be sold like hot cake because of grand success behind its predecessors Galaxy S series.  But still all geeks are not very much impressed with Samsung Galaxy S5 because they thinks that Samsung copied many things and did not included any special feature. So still, Sony, HTC, Nokia would be hoping to dent in Samsung’s market share.

Samsung Galaxy Round: World's First Curved Display Phone

Just after releasing their much anticipated Galaxy Note 3, Samsung is again generating heat in the mobile phone market. This time Samsung is launching a benchmark phone, which is said to be world's first curved display smart phone. Yes, we were having rumors regarding to this phone before many months that Samsung and LG are in competition to launch this type of smart phone. Now it is a reality with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Round! The concept of having curved display puts Samsung  a step closer to making wearable gadgets.

This phone claims to have a massive 5.7 inch AMOLED display similar to recently launched Galaxy Note 3. If you feel that Note 3 does not fit in your hand then Round is your solution. It is 7.9mm thick and 154g weighted, Which is lesser than Note 3. The concave shape having slight horizontal curve makes this phone operation very much easier. 

If you look into specifications department then it is almost same as Galaxy Note 3. But as per Samsung's perspective, this phone is just innovation and they are not going to produce it for worldwide users! The phone will be available for only in South Korea, which is their home territory. Even production of curved display is not cheap like regular ones at present stage, so the price of this phone is also very high. It can be counted around $1000 if you buy it in South Korea. So maybe you have reasons to get disappointed, but Samsung promised that their technicians are working hard on reduce the production cost of these flexible displays. So,they can sell these type of phones worldwide. This phone have just curved display. Even though batter of this phone is also a regular one,which is not curved shaped. So not much features for discussion right now.

Nokia Lumia 1020 : Super Camera Phone

Last year when Nokia released Nokia PureView 808 with highest ever 41 Mega Pixel lens, it created waves but unfortunately it was a failure for them. But still Nokia is not loosing their confidence in their camera technology bonding with their smartphones. They are back with another flagship phone which is powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. 

                    

New Nokia Lumia also features same 41 MP lens which was introduced in earlier 808 PureView phone. Last month in Berlin, when Sony launched their latest flagship phone Xperia Z1 which have 20 MP camera and they claimed that their phone have best camera among all other phones. So Nokia comes back into the competition with another superior camera phone. Even Samsung also has Galaxy S4 Zoom with very advance camera. So according to me, after competition in display size. It is time to war in terms of camera between these multi national companies. So let's check camera performance of this phone.

Camera Review

The phone have a 41 mega pixel lens but practically you will only get 34 mega pixel resolution to capture a picture for 16:8 aspect ratio. If you want picture with 4:3 aspect ration then they can be captured at 38 mega pixels.

One very innovative feature in this phone is Looseless Zoom,where you can crop your picture from higher resolution picture without loosing any type of clarity of the picture. 

If you compare regular images with 5 mega pixel using this phone. Then I must say that they beats all the phones which have 5 mega pixel or even 8 mega pixel camera. Surely it's a clear winner. 

Other specifications of this phones camera are, 3X digital zoom, optical image stabilization, ISO settings 100 to 4000 and very important shutter speed which offers 1 to 16000, Smart Cam & Camera 360.

The phone captures excellent pictures in normal conditions. But I found out one big issue is, the processing rate of the picture is slow. If you want to picture very quickly one by one, then this can disappoint you.  Another issue is, pictures taken in artificial light and close up shots are above average. They are actually not good. 

So,overall the phone achieves our expectations with having great camera details. So thumbs up for this phone in terms of the camera department.

Rest of all

If you remove the 41 mega pixel camera from this phone, then it is totally Lumia 920. The phone have same hardware specifications and software. The phone heats up when you use the camera for long time. Except that, this phone runs really smooth with Windows Mobile OS.

Conclusion

Now last words, if you actually want a more camera then smartphone then this phone is really a hot choice. But if you want a better mixture of hardware, software and camera then you must consider other phones like iPhone 5 & 5S, Xperia Z1, Galaxy S4.

Shared Album : New Facebook Feature

Facebook had become very aggressive to compete with other sites. After introducing a feature of picture comment and chat rooms. They are going to give another exciting feature.



You might be a member on any group in Whatsapp and all of you post pictures frequently. So taking idea from that feature, Facebook has introduced Shared Album which can be shared by as many 50 users and all of them can post on that album. So if you gone on any school trip with friends then all of you can post pictures in the same album. So, it seems very interesting to use.

Right now they had given this feature to English users and step by step it will be available for worldwide users. They thought about this new feature from suggestion of users of facebook.

There will be privacy settings for public,friends or friends of friends ,respectively what you wish to set for the album.  

SEO TIPS #1

As a blogger I had always one question regarding to my blog was that 'How many people will visit my blog? And more importantly how can my blog would be placed higher in Google search rankings?? I did some research and apply those research on my blog. This thing helped me extremely well and i successfully entered into Million club of Alexa ranking. It is really good achievement. Personally I want to clarify that these are not the only way for SEO, but these tips can really help in getting good traffic. As my part of research I found that SEO is categorized in two major types:
First is, On page SEO and second is, Off page SEO.

In this post I will talk about On page SEO because covering both issues will make this post undesirably long. So these are key points related with On page SEO.

1.Title Tag

Title tag is the most important tag in your blog because using this tag the search engine will get to know that to which issue your article is related. So always do as possible storming to decide the title tag for your article.

Whenever you write title tag then it should be always relevant to your article, it can not be duplicated and always keep its length short as possible.

2. Meta Tags

These tags called as 'Information Carrier' for browser because the  text between meta tags will not be showed on the web page, but it will tell the browser information contained between them.
There are many types of meta tags like Description meta tag, Key word meta tag, Robot meta tag and Charset meta tag. All of them have their own advantage and use in SEO.

3. SILO Structure

This third point is mostly unknown from every SEO tips, but I found it from some of the resources. Basically,its not new for us but the way it is used in SEO is more important, and this makes the noticeable impact in your site rankings.

In simple words, it can be taken as a Pyramid structure or a hierarchy of your web site.

If you look at my site then you will find that at top most level "Homepage" is there. Then below level  Reviews, OS, Software, Facebook.,etc are there. Again there is sub layer for OS and Reviews named as Windows, Android, Apple and Gadgets, Software respectively.

These structure should me well mannered, and you have to make it as simple as possible so Google can understand your site easily.

The other thing related with SILO structure is URL representation. Afterall URL is like your address by which some one identify your home. Such like that the whole site should be categorized in proper manner so the URL should make a proper meaning.

In my blog you can notice that every post is categorized by their date of creation and according to that the URL is generated. You can see it by viewing this posts URL.

This new Mac Pro is powered by ultra fast Xeon processor(gives up to 12 core processing power!!!) which is worlds fastest processor and have dual GPU(graphics processing unit) which supports videos at optimum level. Becuase of that,new Mac Pro is double powerful then current Mac Pro. 

Another gem in new Mac Pro is that, it contains four DDR3 RAM running at 1866 Mhz which makes it ultra fast. In simple words we can say it has whooping 6 GB of RAM!

For memory purpose, Mac Pro has flash drive memory which have replaced traditional SATA HDD which is 10X slower then this flash drive.

Facebook will add new feature: Chat Rooms

Mobile messaging market is too much competition oriented now. Before some years only SMS was just a way to message someone via mobile phone. Later Orkut come into the picture and after that Facebook launched its messenger. But now, WhatsApp, WeChat, Viber are also giving much hard competition to facebook.

So now it was on Facebook to invent something new to keep their users interest in them. Thus they are testing a new feature called 'Host Chat'. We were using these kind of chat rooms in early years of internet when Yahoo, Rediff, IndyaRocks was giving this kind of facility of different chatroom which can be joined by everyone.

Still Facebook did not revel this feature, but according to some sources we found out that it could support only text chat in its initial phase.
The creator of the chat room would be able to make its privacy level for adding other members in that conversation.

Browser Speed Up Tips

Using a computer and without having internet is like nightmare for most of us in this days. Thus having a browser is also necessary. People use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer mostly. But again new problems are also here. Whenever you doing some important work and surfing internet,you have noticed that your computer and browser become slow. Even id did not respond rapidly when you type something. This is because of modern browsers consume lot of RAM memory. I have some tips which can help you in this problem, but let me clarify that is doesn't solve your problem 100%,it will increase your browser speed to some percentage.

Here, I have explained this steps in Chrome,other browsers also follow an almost same pattern to do these things.

Delete cache and history

First of all I will explain what is Cache??

It is some pages which are already saved by the browser and they are used more so browser display them directly to save time. But this will keep busy your browser to searching those cache files and that's why deleting cache will improve browser speed. 

Deleting history does the same thing to improve browser speed. This will delete all the cookies,history,saved passwords.,etc. 

Open minimum number of tabs

This is the most common thing we do while browsing,generally we deal with multiple sites, and we open facebook,email,movies sites,songs downloading sites at a time. Opening multiple sites creates multiple processes in the computer, and that will create much burden on processor. Thus your browser becomes slow. So always try to avoid this and open minimum number of tabs.

Use minimum add-ons or extensions

These are some extra gadgets of browser which helps us improving surfing experience and they are helpful in some works.
In Chrome it is called 'extension' and in Firefox it is called 'add-on' . So there is not any other difference between them.

These extensions are helpful, but they consume lot of memory in RAM, and they create multiple individual processes for them and that is unnecessary thing. Thus try to uninstall unneeded extensions and save memory.

Most of people have a Skype account today. People use it for free calls,chatting and most importantly for video calls. To chat with a long distance person face to face,Skype is very reliable resource.

Revo uninstaller software

Let me explain one scenario that you are using a trial version of software which runs just 15 days  and after that you got a message that "the period is over and buy the original copy!!" Then the first step you will take would be uninstalling the software and again installing it extend the 15 day time period again.

If you noticed that the popular social networking site facebook is working really hard to stay on the top in this too much competitive social networking environment.

The latest change they bring in their service is very minor but its really interesting.
